On 23 Nov 1888, Robert W. Daniel was born in Princeton, Dallas County, Arkansas, USA to Edwin Elijah Daniel (1861-1914) and Sarah Adeline (McCann) Daniel (1864-1957). ^[1]

On 6 May 1910 at the time of the 1910 US Census, head of household Edwin E. Daniel (age 48, born in AR) was employed as a Gardener for the City Park and living in a home he owned with a mortgage at 536 Palm Avenue in Fresno, California with his wife Sallie A. Daniel (age 45, born in AR), son Robert W. Daniel (age 21, born in AR), son Edd D. Daniel (age 17, born in AR), son Walter W. Daniel (age 15, born in AR), son Roy Daniel (age 13, born in AR), daughter Adeline V. Daniel (age 12, born in AR), daughter Ruby M. Daniel (age 8, born in AR), daughter Dortha S. Daniel (age 6, born in AR), and son Herbert G. Daniel (age 3, born in AR). Edwin and Sallie had been married for 23 years; Sallie had given birth to 10 children, 9 of whom were alive at that time.
