Biography

84 years 20 days Christian moved to Perry Co., Ohio and was there by 1802. Tax records for Perry, Hopewell township, 1821, 1831,1838. Range 16 Township 17 Sections 35 and 26. He married Catherina Sitzman in 1786 in Penn. They are the parents of 8 children. Tobias, Christian, Eva(Vought,Benage), Christian, Jacob, Elizabeth (Whitmer), Hannah (Smith), Mary Catherine(Miller).

Christian's parents are Johan Jacob Darsham (Dersham) and Elizabetha________. Johan was born Feb. 21, 1732 in Falken-Gesass, Germany. He migrated to Philadelphia, PA. on Sept. 30, 1754 on a ship called Neptune. Johan purchased 25 acres of land on May 17, 1758 in Northampton Co, Penn. Elizabetha was born 1731 in Northampton Co. ,Penn. and died about 1752 in Northampton Co, Penn. They had 10 children.

Johan Jacob's parents were Johan Jacob (Hans Jakob) Darsham (Dorsam) and Anna Catherina Fischer. Johan was born April 13, 1702 in Affolterbach, Germany and died Nov. 14, 1742 in Falken, Germany. Anna was born about 1705. They had 8 children.

Christian was born in 1763. He passed away in 1847.

Darsham-8 and Dersham-8 appear to represent the same person because: appears these two are one in the same. The difference is the spelling of Darsham and Dersham.
