Biography

William was born in 1788. He was the son of Daniel Davis and Elizabeth Stephenson. His father and mother sold him 50 acres of land on the Beech Fork of 12 Pole River just prior to his marriage. He was married in 1812 to Elizabeth Stephenson, a daughter of Benjamin Stephenson.

William passed away in 1836. His inventory and estate sale were record in October of 1836 in Cabell County, Virginia. His children are named in several deeds selling their father's land.
