Biography

DOB estimated from marriage at the age of 20. Her father gave consent, so she was under the age of 21.

"He [James Madison Garvin] and Mary are buried in the Tinsley-Garvin cemetery on Cedar Gate Road, Monroe, with her grandparents, George M. Tinsley b. 1771 d. 1862 and Susannah Dawson Tinsley b. 1780 d. 1818. George Tinsley was the great-grandson of Thomas Tinsley of Essex and Hanover Counties. Susannah was the daughter of Martin and Elizabeth Dawson."[1]
