In 1859, she married Joseph Berry Baldwin in Carnesville, Franklin County, Georgia.[3] Their home was in Martins Creek, Pickens District, South Carolina[4] where they had two children. Jane's sister, Elizabeth, also lived with them.

Jane's husband, Berry, died sometime after 1862, the time of his enlistment in the Confederate States Army.[5]
In 1865, she married a widower, Matthew Anderson Brock, and they made their home in Center, Oconee County, South Carolina, where they raised their extended family.[6]
