Johannes De Lamater, “Yeoman, of the Township of Harlem in the outward of the province of New York” wrote his last will and testament, “…this twenty second day of December in the tenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain, France & Ireland, Defender of the Faith… Anno Domini 1736” In it he mentions the following:
