Best known as Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd, a neurosurgeon, on Grey's Anatomy, Patrick Galen Dempsey is an American actor and race car driver. Although Dempsey has enjoyed success as an actor, he has declared that, if he could, he would dedicate himself to motorsports and "walk away" from acting.
