Marie Alice Després was born on 20 Dec 1880 and baptized on 6 Jan 1881 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, the daughter of Lévi Després and Rebecca Savoie ("Sayère" in the baptism record).[1] Her godparents were Hippolyte Melanson and Marie Cormier.
