Biography

Between 1791 & 1793 sold property in Philadelphia, moved to North Carolina. July 1794 Solomon received grant #893 for 300 acres in Lincoln County. In 1795 he purchased an additional 123 acres.

Solomon Dietz to Anna B Bolick

This indenture made the fourth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one, between Solomon Dietz of the County of Catawba in the State of North Carolina of the one part and Anna Barbara Bolch of the county of Catawba in the State of North Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Solomon Dietz for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said Anna B Bolick the receipt whereof the said Solomon Dietz doth hereby acknowledge, hath given, granted, bargained and sold, aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, and sell, alien and confirm unto the said Anna B Bolick and her bodily heirs, and assigns forever all that tract piece or parcel, land situate lying and being in the County of Catawba and state aforesaid on the waters of South Fork Beginning at a white oak and runs South 123 poles to a dead pine Sites corner then with Peter Rowes line East 70 poles to a pointers corner Dietz's corner then with his line North 120 poles to a Red Oak P H Dietz's corner then N 30 W 7 poles to a stake then West 61 poles to the beginning containing 50 acres more or less (N.B. - Solomon conveys the within land to his daughter Anna Barbara Bolick and no further) And also, all the woods, ways, waters, and watercourses and all and every the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any way wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits of the aforesaid land and premises and every part thereof and all the estate, right, title, interest, claim, property and demand whatsoever of the said Solomon Dietz. Of in and to the land and premises here by granted to have and to hold the aforesaid land and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Anna Barbara Bolick and her bodily heirs and assigns shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents. In testimony where of the said Solomon Dietz hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written

State of North Carolina Catawba County April Session 1851 The execution of this deed was duly proven in open Court by the oath of E R Shufford recorded and let the same be registered.
