Biography
John Diffee in his Iredell County will dated April 15, 1871 mentions leaving land to four children of his daughter Sarah Templeton. This is not completely understood as Sarah had six children.

"The six children of Martin and Sarah were Mary Caroline, Fannie Elizabeth, James A., Sarah Jane, Rebecca and Lucy. Mary married Isiah York, Fanny married Theophilus Williams, Sarah Jane married James Benson, Rebecca married Elisha Holland, and Lucy married Enoch Williams." Sarah Diffie died in 1861. Martin Marries again to Jane A. Davis, July 26, 1861. She is the parent of Rebecca, b. 1863 and Lucy, b. 1867. Jay Norwalk's Vol. I listed below.
