Biography

Robert, better known as Bobby Dodd was born in 1874. He was the son of Patrick Dodd and Eliza Bracken.

The 1901 Census records the brothers Hugh Dodd as a draper's assistants age 22, and Robert Dodd age 26 and cousins Hugh Bracken age 22 and Hugh Bracken age 17, as drapers assistants in a large store in Lower Knox Street, (now O'Connell Street) Sligo. ^[1]

Robert Dodd and Anne Jane Bracken were married 8 September 1902 in Church of Ireland, Calry, Sligo, Ireland. They were first cousins, Anne Jane's father, Richard Bracken was the brother of Robert's mother, Elizabeth Jane (Bracken) Dodd.

1911 Census - Robert Dodd (age 36) is recorded as a Draper who works from home, staying in the Charing Cross Hotel, the Strand, London.

Robert Dodd was living in The Mall, close to Sligo town centre, when he passed away in 1945.
