Arthur Dohrmann was born in 1880 in Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia, the son of Hannah Dohrmann.^[1]

He married Rose Mabel Clegg in 1906 in Victoria, Australia.^[2] Their children were:^{[citation needed]}

• Clarence Henry Dohrmann (1906–1974)
• Victor Leslie Dohrmann (1910–1982)

Arthur died on 6 July 1956 in Mordialloc, Victoria, aged 76 years.^[3] His remains were interred at Cheltenham Memorial Park Cemetery in Cheltenham, Victoria.^[3]
