Annechien was born November 7, 1811 in Sappemeer, The Netherlands, the daughter of Lukas Klaassens Doomnij and Barbera Foekes.[1]
She married Frans Geerts Stopper, zeeman, December 11, 1834 in Sappemeer, The Netherlands.[2]
In Hoogezand, The Netherlands on October 4, 1847, after nearly ten years waiting and four children born, Annechien married Pieter Zeegers, her first cousin. One speculates a lengthy period was observed to make sure Frans Geerts Stopper was gone. He had evidently not been heard from since 1835.[3]
Annechien Lukas Domenie passed away January 8, 1894 in Schildwolde, The Netherlands.[4]

Yes, it took over ten years, due to legislation, for Annegien to get permission to marry again, as described in this 1846 newspaper item. Apparently Frans sailed as steersman on the ship "Margaretha" for Rensburg (Germany) on March 2,1835. Nothing was ever heard again of the crew, and the ship wreck was found near the harbour of Fanoe in March 1835, and sold there.
