Charlotte was born on February 14, 1876 in Upper Prospect, Nova Scotia and baptized on February 17.[1] However the provincial birth record states February 13, 1876.[2] She was the daughter of Francis Duggan and Ellen Beck. She went to Massachusetts on September 11, 1893 from Halifax to Boston on the steamship "Carroll".[3] IN the 1900 census[4] she was working as a servant for a famly in Acton, Massachusetts. The following year on November 3, 1901 she married Thomas Manion.[5] Thomas died in 1927. She passed away in 1938 and is buried in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Concord MA.[6]
