William was born on 28 October 1802 and baptised 4 December 1802 at St.Cyrus, Kincardineshire, Scotland. He was the son of Robert Duthie and Isabella Jarvis.[1]
He married Elizabeth Edward on 1 December 1847 in Marykirk, Kincardineshire, Scotland.[2]
In the 1851 census, William (age about 48) was recorded with his family at South Balmakelly, Marykirk, Kincardineshire. He was a farmer of 160 acres, employing 7 labourers.[3]
On 9 December 1853 William (age 51) was living in South Balmakelly, Marykirk, Kincardineshire, Scotland.[4]
On 8 June 1860 William (age 57) was employed. Road Surveyor.[5]
In the 1861 census, William (age about 58) was living in Backhill, Marykirk, Kincardineshire. He was a farmer of 133 acres, employing 5 men.[6][5]
On 2 December 1868 William (age 66) was employed. Farmer.[7]
On 28 December 1880 William (age 78) was employed. Farmer.[8]
William died at the age of 78 on 28 December 1880 in Balmanno, Marykirk, Kincardineshire, Scotland.[8][4]
