Biography

Yancy was born in 1804. He was the son of William East and Elizabeth Thurston.

He passed away in 1851.

Yancy was named in his father's will in 1847 and was left 2 negroes:[1]

Yancy also purchased a woman and a child named Lewis (East-2564) in the estate sale of his father William East. He purchased them for $600. [2]

On 5 Jan. 1852, Yancy's brother Alexander H. sold the following enslaved persons:
