Emma Lovisa Ekman was born in a village around an iron mill known as Forssa Stångjärnsbruk, in Östra Vingåker Parish, Södermanland County, Sweden, 21 Nov 1855.[2] She was the daughter of Johan Ekman and Anna Törnqvist.[2]
