A very old and highly, respected resident in the person of Mrs. Charlotte Jackson passed away at her son's residence, Congewai, 0n the 4th inst. Born on the Hawkesbury River 82 years ago, the late Mrs. Jackson came with her parents to live in this district , and she remained here practically all her Iife.
For the past 14 years she was totally blind, and during that period she was lovingly cared for by her son and daughter-in-law. Her husband, the late Benjamin Jackson, predeceased her 16 years ago. Deceased is survived by a family of four sons and four daughters, viz., Oliver, Richard, Andrew, Arthur; Mrs. Bendeich, Mrs. Caban, Mrs. Mills, and Mrs. A. Bridge. Her remains were laid to rest beside those of her late husband, in the Church of England cemetery Ellalong. The funeral was largely attended.
