Biography

Floyd Robert Elliott, son of Samuel Wesley Elliott and Alma Cora Lamb, was born March 29, 1902 in Hardin County, Iowa^[1]. He married Anna Carol Ellison on December 14, 1921 in Eagle City, Hardin, Iowa^[2]. Floyd died August 26, 1979 in Iowa Falls, Hardin, Iowa^[3] and was buried in Hazel Green Cemetery, Ackley, Hardin, Iowa^[4].

To hold rites Tuesday for Floyd R Elliott
Services for Floyd R Elliott, 77, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from Surls and Grupe Funeral Home here. The Rev. H. I. Surls will officiate and burial will be in Hazel Green Cemetery near Ackley. Mr Elliott died Sunday at Scenic Manor.
Floyd R. Elliott was the son of Samuel W. and Alma Lamb Elliott and was born march 29, 1902, near Eldora. He attended rural county schools and married Anna Carol Ellison at Eagle City Dec. 14, 1921. They farmed south of Iowa Falls and moved here in 1951. Mr. Elliott also worked as a carpenter.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert of Rogers, Ark., and George of Union; a daughter, Patricia Bourne of Norfolk, Va., 13 grandchildren and seven great grand children; and a brother, Samuel of Grundy Center. Mr Elliott was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a brother and two sisters.

Floyd Robert Elliott, son of Samuel W. and Alma Lamb Elliott, was born on March 29, 1902 near Eldora in Hardin County Iowa. He passed away at the Scenic Manor Care Center in Iowa Falls, Ia on Sunday, August 26, 1979 at the age of 77 years, 4 months, and 27 days. He attended the Hardin County rural schools and had lived all his life in the Hardin County area. On December 14, 1921 he was united in marriage with Anna Carol Ellison, at the home of her parents at Eagle City, Iowa. The family lived and farmed south of Iowa Falls for many years. Floyd also was a carpenter. In 1951 Floyd and Anna moved to Iowa Falls. He is survived by his wife Anna of Iowa Falls; his children, Robert C Elliott of Rogers, Arkansas; George L Elliott of Union, Iowa, Patricia, Mrs. Richard Bourne, of Norfolk, Va; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel Elliott of Grundy Center, Iowa and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Margie Anne Metivier, who died in 1972; a son, Samuel, who died in 1945 during World War 2; and a brother and two sisters.
