Biography

Margie Ann Elliott, daughter of Floyd Robert Elliott and Anna Carol Ellison, was born September 25, 1922 in Hardin County, Iowa. She married William Henry Metivier Jr on December 7, 1948 in Iowa Falls, Hardin, Iowa. Margie died December 4, 1972 in the Panama Canal Zone, Panama and was buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St Louis, Missouri[1].

William Henry and Margie Ann (Elliott) Metivier had the following children:

Burial rites for Mrs. William (Margie Ann) Metivier were held Dec. 11 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Metivier died Dec. 4 at Gorgas General Hospital, Canal Zone, Panama.
Margie Ann Metivier was born Sept. 25, 1922, at Steamboat Rock, the daughter of Floyd R and Anna C Elliott. She graduated from Owasa High School and Ellsworth College and enlisted in the WAVES in 1942 and served until 1945. She married William Metivier Dec. 7, 1948. They had lived in the Canal Zone for the last two years and previously lived in Washington D.C.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Metivier is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Craig (Anne) Eggleston, Oxon Hill, Md., Michele, Chicago, Ill., and Susan, at home; a son John, at home; a sister, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Bourne, Norfolk, Va,; two brothers, George Elliott, Union and Lt. Col. Robert Elliott, stationed with the Air Force in Thailand; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Metivier was preceded in death by a brother.
