Biography

"Aunt Fan", as we called her, was the daughter of Eleazor A. Ely and his wife, Lydia Edwards. She was born on Saint Patrick's Day (March 17th) in 1872[1]. Her birth year is listed as 1873 on her death certificate. Cause of death was listed as carcinoma of the liver.[2]

She was a friendly person and became very much a part of the larger RummIer family. Fan lived thirty five years after Edgar, and for a time resided in Cheraw, South Carolina where she had moved to be near her tailor son,Burgoyne (Fritz) and his wife, Kathleen. Fan died on April 30, 1955.
