DEATH NOTICE. CAPORN.—On March 1, 1915, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. I. McNess, Newcastle-street, Leederville, Sarah, relict of the late Edward Caporn, aged 91 years. At rest.
OBITUARY. The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah Caporn, of 665 Newcastle-street, Leederville, relict of the late Mr. Edward Caporn, who predeceased her seven years ago, took place on Wednesday afternoon, in the presence of a very large assemblage of relatives and friends. The deceased lady, aged 81 years, was born at Cambridge, England, arrived in this State at the age of 18 years in the ship Walter Raleigh, and resided here the rest of her life. She leaves a grown-up family of five daughters and two sons, 67 grandchildren, and 51 great-grandchildren. The cortege moved from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. E. M'Ness, 665 Newcastle-street, Leederville, and proceeded by road to the Wesleyan Cemetery, Karrakatta, where the remains were interred in the family grave. The chief mourners were: — Mesdames E. M'Ness, H. Buckland, H. Cooper, W. Dalziell, and W. Turnbull (daughters), Messrs. Edward H. and John W. Caporn (sons), Mesdames E. H. Caporn, J. W. Caporn, J. Mead (daughters-in-law), Messrs. W. Gray, W. Dalziell, W. Turnbull, H. Buckland, H. Cooper (sons-in-law), Jas. Caporn, sen. (brother-in-law), J. W. E. Caporn, Walter Caporn, Ross Caporn, Stanley Caporn, Albert Caporn, J. M'Ness, W. M'Ness, E. M'Ness, J. Gray, W. Gray, W. Moyle, H. Newton, H. Andrews, W. Gray, Walter Dalziell, Ernest Dalziell, James Cooper (grandsons), Miss Jenny Cooper, Mesdames J. W. E. Caporn, E. Saunders H. Andrews, Willoughby, J. Gray, Taylor, H. Newton (granddaughters), Mesdames Freeman, Hines, Dinsdale, Whever (nieces), Messrs. W. Tapping, R. Houston, Whever, Hines, (nephews), Mrs. O'Reilly and Adjutant Holdon (S.A.). The pall-bearers were: — Messrs. H. J. Holland, J. Mead, J. B. Fraser, F. L.Glaskin, J. H. Blackburn, and J. Buckingham. Numerous wreaths, floral tributes, and messages of sympathy were received. The Rev. W. R. Lang, of Leederville, conducted the burial service. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. C. H. Smith and Co.
