The Albany-Decatur Daily 17 Jan 1918, Thu Page 1 Benson Ennis Dies At Ashville, N. C. End Came Suddenly. Burial at Madison, Al. News has been received here of the death of Benson Ennis, of Hillsboro, at Ashville, N. C., where he had been for treatment. Mr. Ennis had been in bad health for some years but had shown much improvement and it was thought that he was permenantly cured. He had wired that he would arrive home tomorrow, and a few hours after sending the telegram was seized with a hemorrhage and died in a very short time. Mr. Ennis was widely known in the Twin Cities, where he resided for a number of years, and where he had many friends. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at Madison, Ala., where other members of the Ennis family are buried. Several friends from here are expected to attend. Mr. Ennis, who was 33 years of age, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Ennis, of Hillsboro, and is survived by his parents, a sister, Mrs. C. J. Porter, of Birmingham, and the following brothers: Paul Ennis of California; Lawrence Ennis of Memphis; Leslie Ennis of Mississippi; Audrey Ennis and Barnett Ennis of Hillsboro.
