Carl is notable for being the Captain of the 1936 Great Britain Ice Hockey Team who won a gold Medal. He also founded the British Water Ski Federation and was inducted into both the British Ice Hockey Hall of Fame and the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame.
Carl was born in 1897 in Beckenham, Kent [1] to father Carl Erhardt (abt.1847-) and mother Gertrude (Beutler) Erhardt (abt.1868-)
In 1911 at age 14, Carl is living at Sunbeams, Mayfield Road, Weybridge with his parents, siblings, and servant Freida Wolf. He is listed as being in school. [2]
He attended school in Switzerland and Germany where he learned his Ice Hockey Skills.[3]
Carl married Edith Gladys Griffiths (abt.1898-) in 1920 in Richmond surrey and had 2 sons:

He played for Princes and later Streatham Ice Hockey Clubs in London and was awarded his first international cap in 1931. [3]
