Biography

Kerstin's dates of birth and death are estimated from her purported mother's death date and the last time Kerstin herself is said to be alive.

Parentage

No primary evidence exists of Kerstin, but she appears in Rålambska samlingen, fol. 12, p. 194 as the daughter of Esbjörn Baath.^[1] She was likely the daughter of Esbjörn's wife Ingeborg Pedersdotter, in spite of the fact that she is mentiond as late as 1540.^[2] It is, nevertheless, most probable that Ingrid Pedersdotter, who may have died young, was Kerstin's mother as at least one of the estates inherited in 1455 by Esbjörn from his (late) wife and on behalf of his children is the same estate that a century later was exchanged by Kerstin's grandson.^[3][4][5][6] The grandson, Anders Bosson (oxehufvud), explicitly mentions that the estate of Kattunga was one "...som jag rettelige ärffth haffuer effter min salige moder-moder..."^[7] For Anders to have inherited this estate from his mother's mother, then the property must have come from Kerstin, who could only have brought it, by right, from its previous owner. As the only known previous owner was Kerstin's grandfather (i.e. Ingrid Pedersdotter's father, Peter Jonsson (Bååt)), then the relationship of descent from Peter Jonsson to Anders Bosson could only have come via Ingeborg Persdotter.

Marriage

Married, according to Rålamb (as above), to Anders Persson (Prika), son of Per Tomasson.^[2][7][8]
