Biography

Although his birth name was Ray Estes, he preferred George Estes, using that name most of his life. George died in 1944 at Newton, Harvey, Kansas, as the result of a cerebral event that occurred while changing trains in Newton. The entire family was in the process of relocating to Oregon. George was interred 3 Sep 1944 at Greenwood Cemetery, Eureka, Greenwood, Kansas. After George was laid to rest, the family completed the move to Oregon.
