Biography

Parthena Ewing[1] was born about 1852, in Kentucky, she is presumed to be the child of Berry Ewing and Emlie Ewing. The slaves of Ephraim M. Ewing of Russelville, Logan County, Kentucky; Parthena and her family were emancipated and escorted out of Kentucky by someone named R.T. Higgins [2]. She married Marshal Mc Leod on February 21, 1872, in Woodbury, Iowa. She died in Colorado. She married Marshall Mcleod[3] on February 21, 1872[4], in Woodbury, Iowa. They had two children during their marriage. She died in Colorado.
