Biography

Anna was born 14 November 1894. She was the youngest child of William Fears and Ella Zachary. Anna was born just outside the town of Magnolia on the family farm in Columbia County, Arkansas. By 1900 the family had moved to Shelby County, Texas where her father continued to farm but was also a circuit preacher.^[1]

Ella took the two younger daughters, Jannie and Anna and their brother Bonn went with them when they returned to Magnolia, Arkansas. In the 1910 census they were living in a boarding house in Magnolia. The last name is misspelled as Jeans instead of Fears. ^[2]

Anna married William Ed McDaniel in Columbia County, Arkansas on 4 September 1910. She was 17 years old and Ed was 20 years old. ^[3]

In the 1920 census Ed and Anna are living in the household with Ed's mother Sallie McDaniel in Magnolia, Columbia, Arkansas. Ed's sister Mary 24, is also in the house. ^[4]

Ed and Anna plus their two daughters, Margaret 10 and Bonnie 5 (misspelled Bertha) are in Magnolia, Columbia, Arkansas in the 1930 census. ^[5]

In 1940 Ed and Anna are still living in Magnolia, Arkansas. Their youngest daughter, Bonnie Ed (listed as Eddie) is 14 and living with them. Ed's occupation is working at an ice house. ^[6]

Anna and Ed had two daughters and three grandchildren during their long marriage She passed away 22 December 1984 just after her 90th birthday.^[7]
