Biography

William Albert Fleming was born on 27 August 1897 in St Kilda, Victoria, Australia, the son of Mary Catherine Boundy Fleming and William Robert Fleming.^[1][2]

He was educated at Scotch College between 1912 and 1916.^[2]

He married Ellen May Vickery on 7 October 1925 at St Luke's Church of England in North Fitzroy, Victoria.^[3][4] Their children were:

• William Brian Fleming (1927–2016)^[5]
• A second son, younger than Brian^[6]

William was a doctor.^[2] In 1925, he was appointed medical officer to the Zeehan (Tasmania) Medical Union Board.^[7]

William died on 4 March 1963.^[2]
