Biography: Elizabeth Florance was born on 2 March 1794 in SSX, ENG, shipping list has age abt 30 but died aged 70. She and Daniel Lockwood were married on 7 June 1840 in Port Nicholson, NZ. Elizabeth Florance died on 14 January 1865, at age 70, in Auckland, NZ, aged 70. She was buried in January 1865 in Symond's St Cemetery, Auckland. Why we are sure that Elizabeth is connected to Thomas Florance the surveyor is because on the Auckland Libary site for Symonds St Cemetery is has Elizabeth Lockwood buried with Florance family gives her age as 70yrs and of Hobson Street where she did live at the" Prince Of Wales Hotel " and her death cert said was married to retired publican, and yes we know she was older than Daniel Lockwood also Daniel had a lot of dealings with Daniel Lockwood with Property both had property Avondale etc and this (Thomas Florance had the Albion I hope the latter is correct) Lorraine LB Travelled on the Bolton with a FLORANCE family see John FLORANCE = brother? Elizabeth Florance was christened on 4 March 1794 in Worth, SSX, ENG. She immigrated to ENG to NZ on the Bolton arriving NZ 21/4/1840 on 19 November 1839. She was a Sempstress in 1840.
