Biography
Elizabeth "Betsy" Ford was born about 1749, most likely in Virginia, and possibly in Westmoreland County.
Though not married, around 1765 she was living with or involved with John Fleming (abt.1740-1794). Over the next ten years, they would have five children together, as listed in his will:[1]
- William Ford Fleming b. 1766–1859
- John Ford Fleming b. 1767–1821
- Betsy Ford Fleming b. 1770–1856
- Nancy Ford Fleming b. 1771– aft. 1794
- James Ford Fleming b. 1773– aft. 1794
Betsy died about 1775, most likely in Virginia or in Surry County, North Carolina.
