Warren attended the University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, 1913; served as director of the Pennsylvania State College in State College, Pa.; later junior field director for the International Health Board; joined the University of Michigan medical faculty in 1917 and held the position of director of the health service and professor of hygiene and public health until his retirement in 1955; served as secretary of the American Student Health Association and in 1952 received its first distinguished service award; in 1937 received an honorary Doctor of Science degree from Oregon State College. He was the author of "Health Service in American Universities."
In 1917 he applied for a passport in North Carolina for himself, wife De Etta and infant son George to visit British Guiana to assist in public health work.[1]
In 1937 he and his wife visited Naples, Italy.[2]
In 1952 he and his wife visited Hawaii.[3]
