The wife of Jules Richard was born about 1856. I believe this is not the wife of Jules Richard. I think the more likely wife was Lizzie French, daughter of Josiah French and Mary Stone, born about 1856. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MFPC-ZTC
Ages on censuses are not 100% accurate. Jules Richard's brother did marry Suzanne French, the sister of the Elizabeth you suggest.
I removed Jules Richard and the children, because I think you were right. This Elizabeth French was in Mississippi in 1880.
