On 7 September 1793, Oliver married Betty Barrit, perhaps the widow of a Mr. Clark per the Fulham Genealogy, in Westminster, Massachusetts.[3][4]
Oliver served in the American Revolution. He enlisted at age 15, In Col. Job Cuashing's Regiment that marched to Bennington July 1777.[5][6] He was awarded a monthly pension on 4 April 1818, which was paid until his death in 1836.[7]
Oliver died 17 November 1836, and is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Fitchburg, Worcester County, Massachusetts.[8]
