Biography

Deacon Thomas Fuller was born on 24 Jun 1726 in East Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut to parents Timothy Fuller and Mary Champion.[1] He married Hannah Dimick on 15 Nov 1748 in East Haddam, Middlesex, Connecticut.[2] Children: Eliphalet, Samuel, Bethuel, Bethuel, Ichabod, Hannah, Anne, Mary. in 1790 he was residing in East Haddam CT.[3]He died on 29 Jun 1797 in Hartland, Hartford, Connecticut.[4]

He is called in 1748, Thomas Fuller 4th, the others being Thomas3 b. 1679, (No. 18 Edward line); Thomas4, b. 1717, (No. 52 Edward line), and Thomas 5, b. 1718, (no. 3, 2nd Group), son of Benjamin4, all of whom were living in East Haddam at the same time. In 1770, he was elected deacon of the First Congregational Church in East Haddam, at which time he is called Sergt. Thomas Fuller, 3d, Thomas having removed, the others being still living. He removed to Hartland after 1772.

Find a Grave states: French Indian War Corp. Thomas Fuller 6th Co. 1st Regt. Died June 29, 1797 Æ. 71. Note that the DAR suggests this man but another of the same name served in the Revolution.

Research Notes

A Sergeant Thomas Fuller, of Windham, served in the Lexington Alarm of 1775.[5] If this is not the man in this profile, the 1776 sticker should be removed until the correct service is found.
