Emma Jane Fulmer was born on May 21, 1852, in Durham, Bucks, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of David Bachman Fulmer and Sophia Long. She was baptized at Durham Reformed Church in Durham, Bucks, Pennsylvania, on November 21, 1852.[1]
In 1860, Emma was living with her parents and siblings in Williams, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[2] In 1870, she worked as a domestic servant in a household in Durham, Bucks, Pennsylvania.[3]
Emma married George W. Grogg in 1875. They had known eight children - Anna Maria, Sarah Elizabeth, Emma Sophia, George David, John Conrad, Robert Benjamin, William Henry, and Samuel.
In 1880 and 1900, George and Emma lived with their children and his mother in Williams, Northampton, Pennsylvania, where they were farmers.[4][5] In 1910, the couple lived with children in Lower Saucon, Northampton, Pennsylvania, where they were farmers.[6]
George died in September 1918. In 1920, she lived with her son Robert and family in Hellertown, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[7]
Emma died from pneumonia in Lower Saucon, Northampton, Pennsylvania, on October 9, 1926, at the age of 74.[8][9] Emma was buried at St. Lukes Old Williams Cemetery in Williams, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[10]
