Gibson Fulmer was born on October 8, 1860, in Durham, Bucks, PA. He was the son of David Bachman Fulmer and Sophia Long. Gibson was baptized at Durham Reformed Church in Durham on January 10, 1861.[1]
In 1870, Gibson was living with his parents and siblings in Williams, Northampton, Pennsylvania,[2] and in 1880 the family resided in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[3]
At the age of 24, Gibson married Elizabeth "Lizzie" Derringer on September 29, 1885, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania when she was 18 years old.[4] They had five children - Florence, Bertha, Jennie, Floyd, and Chester.
In 1900, 1910 and 1920, Gibson and Elizabeth lived with their children in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania, where Gibson worked as a teamster (in 1900 and 1910) and janitor in a grocery store (1920).[5] [6][7]
He worked for 42 years until his death for the Davies Strauss Stauffer company in Easton, which was a purveyor of canned goods and spices.
Gibson died in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania on July 16, 1928, at the age of 67.[8][9] Gibson was buried at Easton Heights Cemetery in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[10]
