Charley was born in 1863. He was the son of Siburn Funderburg and Lucinda Alexander. He passed away in 1917.

Charley and his wife Annie, Charles Wordlaw Funderburg, Leonard and Lona Funderburg, and Watt and Dora Funderburg are all buried in Smith's Chapel Methodist Church in Sardis in Dekalb County, Alabama. [5]
