Reason was born in Pennsylvania in 1795, the son of William Gabriel and Nancy Thompson. He was in the war of 1812, as a private, in Capt. John Snelbeker's Company in the Ohio Militia.[1] He married Elizabeth Bobo in Ohio.[2] Reason passed away in 1873, and is buried in Howard, Indiana.[3]
