Biography

Joanna was born in Cannon County, Tennessee, on March 14, 1856, to Samuel Gannon and Susannah Stacy.[1] [2] She married Franklin Jackson "Jack" Gaither, son of Ivory Gaither and Elizabeth Forcum, on November 9, 1873.[3] They had three known children:[4]

  • 1874-1942: Elizabeth "Bettie" Mabel, m. 1st Edward King, 1897; m. 2nd Robert Price, 1903
  • 1876-1954: Harriet "Hattie" Tennessee, m. Thomas King, 1896
  • 1882-1918: George Washington, identified as brother on Elizabeth's 1900 census[5]

There is no record of Joanna or Jack after their 1880 census. Online trees list Joanna's death on October 21, 1883, and Jack's in 1892, but without source.
