Biography
Robert was baptized in Sep 1789, the son of Robert Gardhouse and Jane Maudlin.
In 1851, Robert, Ann and family were living in York, Canada West (Upper Canada). The 1851 census lists the following:

Research Notes
This Robert is possibly the first cousin of another Robert Gardhouse, who was born one year later.
According to a secondary source, the William 'Guardhouse' listed in the 1851 census was a son of Robert and Ann's, and he married Catherine Meally (1822-1904).
