Biography

Laura, the daughter of William Gardiner and Edvidge Fontaine, was born 9 April 1880 in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The North Kingstown birth register identifies her as the 6th child.^[1][2]

On 27 September 1902, she married Loren Dean Palmer, son of James N. and Mary S. (Brown) Palmer, in Warwick, Rhode Island.^[3] The couple had at least 10 known children, three of whom were stillborn.

Widowed in 1934, Laura herself passed away 19 March 1937. Her death certificate cites the cause as chronic nephritis and myocardial degeneration.^[4] She was to be buried in Elm Grove Cemetery.
