Biography

Ethel, the daughter of William Gardiner and Edvidge Fontaine, was born 31 March 1887 in Hamilton, Rhode Island.^[1][2]

On 28 December 1907, she married Peter Swanlund in Providence, Providence, Rhode Island.^[3] There are no known children from the marriage.

Widowed in 1923, Ethel subsequently lived with her parents. She herself lived until March 1985. She died in Warwick, Rhode Island, and was buried in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown, Rhode Island.^[4].^[5]
