William (Gasson) Gaston was born in Buxted, Sussex, England.
Birth
William was born in 1698. He was a son of Richard Gaston and his wife Ann Moone. William was baptised[1] in Buxted on 7 June 1698.
Marriage
There is a marriage[2] of a William Gasson (Gaston?) to Johanna Lockier at Withyham on 20 April 1715. William would be only 17!
Note that a William Gasson was born[3] in May 1697 - so this is probably not the marriage to William Gaston and the marriage should be unlinked from the profile.
Death
A William Gaston died in 1780. He was buried[4] at Waldron on 12 Feb 1780. This may be the William of this profile.

There is considerable confusion between Gaston, Gasson and Garston etc. The marriage to Johanna Lockier in Withyham is to a William Gasson born within a year of William Gaston. I propose unlinking the marriage. Any thoughts anyone?
