Tess lived on a plantation in St. George's Parish in South Carolina, enslaved by Jacob Geiger (bef.1724-aft.1769). Geiger died in 1769, and bequeathed Tess to his wife, Mary Ann (Morgandollar) Givhan (abt.1743-abt.1789). Daffny is linked to her own mother, Cloe (Geiger) Givhan (bef.1769-aft.1769) in Geiger's will.[1]
