Mary's brother George Gibson died in Wayne County, Kentucky, without any family. His land was divided between his seven brothers and sisters. When Mary died, her share went to her children. The Deed of Sale below to William Pemberton names her surviving heirs at the time they sold this land.

Mary Polly Gibson was born in 1771 in Pittsylvania, Virginia, her father, Randolph, was 37. She married Benjamine " Littleberry" Croley in 1793 in Wilkes, Georgia. They had one child during their marriage. She died in 1830 in Whitley, Kentucky, at the age of 59.
