James Dwyre Glasgow was born 4 Dec 1841in Adams County, Ohio.[1] He was the son of Robert Glasgow and Mary Finley.
In 1860 he graduated from Washington College in Washington, Iowa.[2]
On 23 Jul 1860 he lived in Jackson Township, Washington County, Iowa.[3]
On 10 Aug 1861, during the Civil War, he enlisted from Iowa as a Private in the Eighth Regiment Iowa Infantry, Company C[4]
James Glasgow served in the United States Civil War. Side: USA
He was imprisoned by the CSA on 6 Apr 1862 in Shiloh, Tennessee.[5]
He was "exchanged at length, rejoined his regiment; died of disease at Pochahantas, Tennessee on 11 Feb 1863."[6]
He was initially buried in Pocahontas, Tennessee, and then re-interred at Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi.[7]
James Glasgow was a POW in Shiloh Prison during The United States Civil War.
James Glasgow died of disease during the United States Civil War.
