5 Nov 1899: Harry Issac Goldfelt was born about this time in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA. His parents were Morris Goldfelt and Esther Schuffman.

5 Jun 1900: The census report of this date records Harry's birth as December 1899, but confirms the location as Illinois, USA. Baby Harry lived with his parents and his 5-year-old sister Mary. Harry's father worked in the business of ladies tailoring. The family lived at 529 Halstead Street in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA next door to Harry's maternal grandmother, who was listed on the census that year as Annie Schuffman. Also living with the Goldfelts were at least two lodgers: Eliah Schuffman, a 31-year-old married man who immigrated from Russia-Poland in 1900 and who was employed as a tailor (by Morris Goldfelt?), and Fritz Seeler, a 28-year-old single man from Germany who was employed as a bartender (perhaps at the saloon run by Annie Schuffman?) [1]

27 Apr 1910: The Goldfelt family, (Morris, Esther and their children Mary and Harry), lived in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA at 1649 North 47th Street. Son Harry was about 10 years old and his sister Mary was about 15 years old. Their father was the proprietor of a ladies tailoring firm. Their mother worked as a manager there.

7 Jan 1920: Harry, now about 20 years old, lived with his parents, his younger sister Bernice, and his older sister Mary and her husband Dudley Dobry at 4635 St Lawrence Avenue in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA. Harry was employed as a salesman in a mail order house.[2]

29 Jun 1930: marriage to Ida Sher (daughter of Louis and Molly Sheresefsky) she died in 1938.[3][4][5][6]

04 Apr 1948: marriage to Henrietta Jacobs, daughter of Wolf Jacobs and Hannah Abramson.[7]

11 Apr 1950: At the time of the 1950 US census Harry (age 50) and Henrietta (age 51) were living with Henrietta's mother, Hannah Jacobs, at 3700 at La (Louisiana?) Avenue Parkway in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA. Both Harry and Henrietta worked full time at the department store they owned. [8]

10 Sep 1978: Harry Issac Goldfelt died on 10 Sep 1978. probably in Louisiana, USA. He was laid to rest at Gates of Prayer Cemetery in New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, USA. [9][10]
