PS Thomas Sr. Goodenow-8 did not mention his wife in his will, she died just before him, however his did leave part of his estate to my loving York fellow Joanne Goodenow during her widowhood, which I believe is Jane/Joann wife of this son, Thomas deceased. Another reason I don't think Edmund is correct.

This is not correct. Jane/Joane is in fact named one of the executors of her husband Thomas, Sr.'s (Goodenow-8) will.

'2ly I doe further will that my Loveing yoak fellow Jane [Joane?] Goodenow shall hold and enjoy the thirds of all my lands in Marlborough during her life and her fre dwelling in my house dureing the state of her widdowhood, as also that all the stock and moveables be wholly reteined in her hands and at her dispose for the defraying of charges and augmenting upon other acompts as shall be needful...

'And further I doe charge my loveing wife and my sonne Samuel to be my Execoters...'

The other Thomas, married Jane/Joanne Ruddick. I believe that Thomas Goodenow-8 is this Thomas' father - as he is Thomas Jr both in marriage and death record. (although Edmund did have a son Thomas as well) This one appears to have married Jane/Joann Unknown.

John Ruddick married Dorothy Goodenow, sister of Thomas, Edmund, Ursula etc.

Here's your Thomas of the 1666 will whose wife was Jane and has children. I think the Ruddick wife here attached may be confused with Jane Ruddick on the other (but some checking should be done.)

Whoops looks like you found him already

Called Thomas Jr is VR. Is he more likely son of Thomas Sr. (and not Edmund)?

Maybe my loving York fellow Joanne Goodenow during her widowhood, is the wife of the Thomas Jr. who died in 1663???

2 wills for Thomas Goodenow 1663 and 1666, which I find confusing as the latter doesn't specifically negate the earlier one. They are consecutive on AmerAnc link. One seems to have been submitted to the court in Apr. 1664 and Wife Joanne was granted admin in 1664, so I am assuming he was deceased. She is the only one named in that will. https://www.americanancestors.org/databases/middlesex-county-ma-probate-file-papers-1648-1871/image?pageName=9382:2&volumeId=14472&rId=38263727

2nd will written Sept. 1666, inventoried Oct. 1666. Starts by addressing a new land grant to 2 youngest daughters Susanna and Jane; and then it looks like it says my loving York fellow Joanne Goodenow during her widowhood, married daughters Marie and Abigail, son Samuel etc. Are these 2 different Thomas'?
