Biography
Mary Elizabeth Goodes was born in Wistow, Huntingdonshire. She was the daughter of David Goodes and Sarah Taylor. Her birth was registered in St Ives in the third quarter of 1855.[1]
At the time of the 1861 England and Wales Census, William and Mary Smith were listed as living in Easton, Huntingdonshire, along with Mary's granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Goodes.
At the time of the 1871 England and Wales Census, Mary Elizabeth Goodes was listed as a servant in the household of James Setchell in Warboys, Huntingdonshire.[2]
Mary married George Middleton. Their marriage was registered in Stepney in the third quarter of 1885.[3]
